UNITRANS BUSES

Unitrans offers free public transportation for students and children under 5 yrs-old (up to two per every fare-paying adult) and rides for $1 fare/person otherwise. Both lines A (from UCD Silo) and Z (UCD Memorial Union) have stops close to the CMB.

The A line leaves the Silo every half hour, and the closest stop to the CMB is at 5th St. & Spafford St. Route schedules, arrival predictions, and a live map are available here. The ride takes just under a half hour from campus.

​The Z line disembarks from the Memorial Union every half hour, and you will want to get off at the 2nd Street & Cousteau Place stop. You can find more information about the route here. The ride is roughly 26 minutes from campus.

FROM I-80

Use the right two lanes to take exit 75 for Chiles Rd. towards Mace Blvd. Use the left to lanes to turn left onto Chiles Rd., then use the left two lanes to take a sharp left onto Mace Blvd. Turn left onto 2nd St., and then turn right onto Cousteau Place. The destination will be on your right.

FROM DOWNTOWN DAVIS

Head east on 3rd St. or 5th St./Russell Blvd. (towards the direction going up the alphabet – A St., B St. C St., etc.), turn right onto L St., follow the road as it curves left onto 2nd St., and turn right onto Cousteau Place​. The destination will be on your right.

PARKING

Parking is available in lots behind and in front of the Center for Mind and Brain. Both lots are accessible from Cousteau Place, and you can access the front lot from 2nd St.

WHERE TO GO

Once inside the CMB, please wait inside the lobby in the back of the CMB (located in front of the elevators). If you enter from the front side of the CMB (facing 2nd St.), you will have to walk through the hallway in order to reach this area. One of our researchers will come meet you to lead you to suite 170 at the scheduled time.

If you arrive early and a researcher has not come to meet you, you can give us a call to let us know you are here. If you don’t have a cell phone, you can follow the hallway to the left (when you are facing the elevator doors) to suite 170 to find a phone located outside the suite.
